I'm an MA Magazine Journalism graduate from City St George's, University of London, currently based in the UK. ​ I write about music, film, TV, and culture, with a particular interest in profile writing and long-form features. My work includes three cover stories for Hunger Magazine, where I interviewed Lamar Johnson, Sasha Keable, and Ella Mai. I'm passionate about telling stories centred on Muslim women, diaspora communities, and underrepresented voices, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and contemporary culture. ​ My work also includes Whitewashed Modesty, which I co-wrote for XCity Magazine, examining the lack of Muslim women in fashion journalism. For my MA final project, I investigated how the rise of radical male influencers shapes attitudes among young Muslim men and how this, in turn, impacts Muslim women. ​ Alongside my journalism, I have a strong interest in editorial design and visual storytelling. I was the Art Director of The Split, a student-led digital magazine, where I created the publication's visual identity and website. I also completed an internship with the Art Desk at Hearst, working across Women's Health and Men's Health and gaining experience in magazine design and editorial production.
